See The World Through My Eyes : Australia, Queensland 15' (Part 1)

My long awaited holiday since the year started is finally here. Left straight to Queensland, Australia after my class test on Thursday, touched down at Brisbane airport the next morning, had breakfast at the airport and headed to my uncle's place in Redland Bay after.

The Coffee Club is everywhere and it serves pretty good meals.

The view from my uncle's place. It was crazy windy and my hair was everywhere because we were facing the sea.

Spent the rest of the day unpacking and settling down. We rented a car and drove around the suburb and bought some groceries.

The next day, we headed to Brisbane city.

Food was great! Favourite meal up to date. Totally recommend to anyone who's travelling here anytime soon. It's called Champ, Kitchen & Bar. It's located by the Wheel Of Brisbane. Hard to miss! Great ambiance :)

Healthy snacks from Aussie. A definite must try!
Crushed & blended Acai berries to fill the base, topped with granola, honey and other fruits.

Crossed over the bridge from South Bank to Queens Street Mall.

Churros here are the best!

Wagyu Beef Hot Dog *drools*

Back at South Bank, there's a man made beach in the middle of the city which I find super fascinating and that we should definitely have one in Malaysia as well! (ok...maybe not.)

Met up with my parent's friends and we had dinner together at BurgerUrge followed by dessert at Max Brenner. The street where we had dinner at is one of the hottest spot for food and entertainment in Brisbane especially on weekends. The street comes alive at night with music, flea markets and entertainment.

Dinner & dessert were great! Max Brenner's chocolate was sinful but so good. I'd recommend the crepes.  The queue was super long..

We sat on the ferris wheel at night and had a scenic view of beautiful Brisbane city.

The next day, we left for Paradise Country & Surfer's Paradise.

Paradise Country Farm is a petting farm for mainly Kangaroos & Koala Bears. They also have farm experiences shows for visitors.

Their furs were amazingly soft!

Headed to Surfer's Paradise after the farm. Definitely my place to be!

Not sure if it was me or the chef but the dishes were completely tasteless. Don't try this.

After the farm & the beach, we were invited over to my parent's friends house/ranch. It was a 2 hour drive to their suburb. It seems like having 2 or more acres of land here is the norm.

I was ABOUT to learn how to ride a motorcycle when I realised I didn't even know how to ride a bicycle so...how exactly was I able to balance this fast moving two wheeled vehicle...

Ended up just TRYING but I didn't even get to ride it :(

Here's me, finally learning how to ride a bicycle.
Achievement unlocked.

Uncle Daniel, parent's friend took me for a ride on his super motorbike that went 130km/h on the clear wide   in the suburbs. It was definitely an experience I'd like to experience again. The adrenaline rush was crazy!

He also specially made us dinner in his cosy home.

En route to Montville, a small cute vintage town up on the hills with a row of novelty stores. It was pretty chilly and quiet as it was a Monday-wrong timing :( Everything closed at 5pm and we were desperately looking for dinner, it was funny :p Stayed here for a night @ Clouds Of Montville. Apparently Montville is pretty busy   on weekends.

The homemade chocolate specialty store had a ton of unique chocolates.
DIABETES.

These are handmade soap bars! They're so pretty.

Delicious mini pancakes at the only waffle store in that tiny town.

The next day, we left for Hervey Bay after check out at 10am. On the way, we stopped by a cheese factory.

Bought like 3 packs of freshly made cheese.
YUM.

On the way, we saw a Ned Kelly statue. Australia's very own Zorro.

Finally arrived at Hervey Bay. It is a popular water lover's paradise for swimming, fishing, water sports and fun activities on the beach. It is also one of the gateways to Fraser Island that's famous for its crystal clear lakes and beautiful mother nature. We took 2-3 hours on the road before arriving.

Urangan Pier.  It stretches 1km out to the sea. On weekends, it is popular with anglers who can opt to fish near the shore or walk to the end of the pier for some deep sea fishing.

Dinner at Coast Restaurant and Bar was fantastic btw. It showcases local produce - especially Fraser Coast seafood. It creates memorable food in this multi-award winning venue with an exclusive one hat rating.
Hard to miss since it's a small town as well.

P.S. I've been filming bits & pieces of my trip so stay tuned to a travel vlog at the end of the trip? :)

TO BE CONTINUED
