A Brand New Year

2014 has finally come, it started off pretty well for me I guess. I spent the eve at Desa Park City with a bunch of good company, good music & delicious street food. DPC didn't sound like a good plan for the eve to me when my friends planned to go there but always expect the unexpected I guess. They had quite a big stage set up, beautiful waterfront & street food stalls set up all over the concourse! I had a pretty amazing time while waiting for the new year to kick in. I have to admit that I wasn't crazy pumped up for the whole eve party and all that but once the clocked stroked 12, the fun had finally begun. The crowd lessen but was filled with lively people dancing while the DJ played some tracks, that was pretty fun! Dancing with good company was definitely fun. After that, we headed over to a nearby mamak to have supper and later on headed back.

The morning after was hectic! I had to rush for a hair catalogue shoot after staying up almost the whole night :( I was crazy exhausted man but not gonna deny that I didn't have fun dressing up for the shoot.

With the hairstylist, Jojo!

We did 9 different hairdos for De Vouge Studio's 2014 hairdo catalogue and it lasted from 12pm to 7pm…Glad I got the opportunity because I had so much fun!

Well, school started today and I'm so glad we got to pick our own classes. Finally got a chance to be in the same class with all (well, majority) my girls after 3 years! Have a good year ahead guys! Once again, it's gonna be hectic.

2013 Ended Way Too Soon

Can you believe how fast a year has gone past? Another chapter of our lives ending so soon and once again, in a blink of an eye, a new beginning is a few days away! Literally 2 more days to the new year. This year has been filled with so much drama but at the same time filled with uncountable good memories. We have once again successfully lived through a whole year learning from our mistakes and making amends.

2013 was the year I found myself alongside the best bunch of friends I could ever ask for and someone I could really rely on. It was the year where everyone was having a hard time finding themselves and the year where everyone finally grew up. 15 for me bascially marks the point of no return. It's like the year you either decide to screw up or you decide to grow up, be smart and at the same time have shitloads of fun. The deciding part was hard but I'm glad the people around me & I were able to make the right decision. 2013 was also 98's PMR year and I honestly thought it would have sucked, but I have come to realise that exam years can be fun. You have pilled up programs and things to do compared to years where you just chill around in school. Although, chilling around is pretty fun too but, preparing for something important and after it's over, you just feel a weight lift off your shoulders and that just feels pretty sweet.

Honestly, I don't know what to feel about the year ending so soon. I mean, I'm gonna resume school in 3 days and I'm gonna be sort of a senior already. I can still remember graduating from primary school like it was yesterday, but in reality that was 3 years ago. I constantly wonder how time can fly by so fast, time literally just flies by in a blink of an eye, faster than we can adjust to it.

All in all, I hope everyone is ready for the new year & also don't forget those new year's resolutions. I know it's sort of impossible to keep up to it but let's all try :p All the best & lots of love!

Merry Christmas!

I'd like to start of by wishing everyone Merry Christmas (even though it's already boxing day) & a happy new year! I spent my Christmas a little out of the ordinary because my family doesn't really celebrate Christmas as much as I wish we did.

Damien being all hipster & Christmassy ~

Headed over to The Curve for lunch & furniture browsing in Ikea. Way to spend Christmas looking for furniture…sigh.

We had lunch at Morganfield, The Curve. Christmas lunch feast! Look at all the good food!

Chilly Cheese Nachos

Pork Ribs

Pork Burger

Baked Cheese Bacon Potato Skin (FAV FAV FAV)

Roast Chicken

Lunch was definitely good. They just opened at The Curve, their first branch was in Pavilion. I've been there a few times for birthdays and other celebrations. Never say no to a feast there unless you know some place else better :p

Christmas deco is all we got for pictures so we made full use of it. Spent the day with my family and it was a nice bonding session even though we didn't do anything festive.

Babycino at Dome after a long day

After we headed home in the evening, we had a Christmas party to attend at my aunts place.

Dinner made by aunt & her family

After dinner, it was time to exchange presents! I was pretty excited because truth be told, I have never celebrated Christmas the way it's supposed to be nor have I actually had presents under my tiny Christmas tree…sad, I know.

Damien was so excited & happy when he got not one, but two presents! He got his favourite Lego toys and he couldn't stop smiling cheekily :p

Now, I was pretty surprised I received presents because I thought it was only for little kids…but no, everyone had 2 gifts each! Honestly quite happy I got presents, I've always wanted to know how people celebrated Christmas and how the present exchanging works.

Got 2 presents! Red one's from my grand aunt while the Bustier Rhymes package was from my aunt.

Chocolate & a cropped bustier top (yay!)

Mom got santa chocolates

Damien & I with our gifts

Christmas turned out okay I guess, really hope that next year, we can manage to have something festive all planned out. This year was a good start, the only thing missing was being able to spend Christmas with my baby. Sheng Wei's away in Japan, spending a white Christmas with his family. The new year is in a few days time, are you guys ready for 2014 to start? Time to head back to school and for once I'm actually excited!
