KLPM

This is way overdue but I would like to share some amazing photos taken by various photographers from KL. I was invited by Sheryl to model for a photographers meet up session a while ago at Putrajaya Wetland. I had tons of fun with the other models & photographers, check some of the behind the scenes and actual shots out!

Style It : Arm-Slit Cocktail Dress

I barely see arm-slit dresses in the market nowadays so I decided to bring it in to sell on HLG Atelier. I love this royal blue. I think it goes really well with the design of the dress. It is simple yet elegant and doesn't take much styling to make one stop and stare. I paired it with one of my favorite gold chain statement necklace and black platform heels. This cocktail dress is a show stopper and is perfect for formal social events. It comes in black & white too if you think monochrome is more suited to your style.

Arm-slit dresses in general are hard to find but if you're lucky you may find them in the usual FOREVER21, ZARA, TOPSHOP etc. I personally prefer plain and print-less cocktail dresses but if you're looking for some prints to make things more interesting, I've seen some in stores so explore a little before you get it.

Pantene Beautiful Lengths

Why, hello there

I'm sure you would have noticed the new hairdo by now....

Anyways, I've been meaning to donate my hair since the beginning of the year when I heard about Pantene Beautiful Lengths from a friend. She told me about her experience and briefed me about the procedures over tea. I have been growing my hair out since February and it never occurred to me that  it has been so long since then. It was definitely sooner than I expected and I was not mentally prepared for the cut at all. A few days ago, Sheng Wei and I went on a spontaneous date to the salon and I wasn't sure what got into me but I managed to suck it up and got them to cut it short.

To make the cut, your hair must be at least 8 inches long. And before you cut you hair, you have to tie the top and tip of your hair so that it'll be in tact after you cut it.

BEFORE

WELL, AFTER...
I SWEAR I SAID 8 INCHES BUT THAT'S PROBABLY 12...

Anyways, after all that jazz you basically have to make sure the hair you chopped off is completely dry and ready to be packed in a zip lock bag. When it is all set to go, post it out to the address given on their site and voila ~ you MADE THE CUT!!! (jks, you just donated your hair)

**If you're planning to do the same, head over to their site to find out more :) Pantene Beautiful Lengths

Style It : Romper

Rompers are back in trend now and they come in a variety of colours, print and fabric. Some more structured like the one I'm currently wearing and some dressier in a sense that the material is more light weight. I've been eyeing on a few rompers online and I finally got this one from Unmasqued. I am absolutely loving everything about it. The black and white makes it super versatile for day to night events.

I paired this versatile piece with my all time favourite chunkies, gold chain accessories and bag. I went monotonous for this outfit but added some gold for a punch. If you are planning to wear this outfit for a night out, I would suggest your most reliable pair of heels. I only paired it with my chunkies because I transited the outfit from day to night and I needed my pair of shoes to be comfortable to walk in but also not sloppy or totally out of character for the night.

Mommy's Birthday @ Fuego Grill & Bar

It was my mom's early birthday celebration on Sunday and we decided to celebrate at Fuego @ Troika Sky Dining.

When you enter the sky dining level, they'll escort you to Claret - bar/waiting area while they get your table ready. They only have 2 reservations timing of either 6:30pm or 8:30pm. I love the interior and not to mention the view from up there.

It took about 20 minutes before they finally escorted us to where the restaurant is as we were early for our 6:30pm reservation.

The Fuego Guacamole

Soft Shell Crabs as Nachos

The Fuego Coconut Ceviche

Braised Beef Back Ribs

Chermoula Chicken

Fresh Leafs

Portobello Mushrooms

Fuego Churros

Berries Pavlova

The South American food was amazing! It's different from Italian cuisine which is more olive oil and herb base, South American food uses a lot of avocado, citrus and herbs to give it a zesty tangy taste. Definitely one of my favourite restaurants now. It has a good view of KL's skyline, good music playing and delicious food served. My favourite dishes has got to be the beef ribs and soft shell crab ♥

Just a side note for those who are interested in trying Fuego, you might want to book the 8:30pm slot as sunset can be slightly blazing as it's al fresco dining in Malaysian weather. Other than that, it was a lovely night. Troika Sky Dining includes other restaurants that I literally NEED to try someday soon. Good food and ambiance instantly gets any restaurant to the top of my chart with no fail at all.

Style It : Bustier Dress

As you can see, this post is what you (& I) would call "out of the norm" as I've never posted anything like this before. I'm trying something new here so I hope the response I get don't suck...So basically, I've been receiving one or two ask.fm questions from anonymous people asking me how I would style a certain type of clothing and I thought blogging about it would be so much easier than me telling you how to imagine what it would look like on someone.

These pictures were actually taken way before in January, if I'm not mistaken. I took these during my trip to Cameron Highlands at the beginning of the year > check the post out if you haven't already seen it yet. The reason as to why I took these photos was because I wanted to do something like a style blog earlier but I wasn't sure how to, so it basically failed. I'm taking out old photos to "test the waters" so voila ~

Bustier dresses are pretty versatile and best of all, they come in all kinds of prints. The one I was wearing was more of a party dress but I'm sure if any of you wanted a more day-to-day bustier dress you could easily find it in the market.

I like bustier dresses that don't obviously cup your boobs and have too much padding to it, therefore this was perfect for me. I'm loving the subtle lace details and bustier effect to its simple flair. I paired it with a red purse, silver heels and accessories. I kept it simple because the colour and overall design were enough to make me stand out without having to add too much blings on my arms and neck. This outfit is perfect for a night out with your girls or even a fancy-smancy date with your boi.

An extra tip for wearing a bustier dress : flaunt what you've got but still keep it classy ;)
