Motions

Some photos I took of Lynelle last year for my school's photography competition. I'm definitely not a pro but I'm honestly quite proud of myself for being able to capture these shots. Bronze for a first timer ;) scratch that, I'm really proud of myself (it was tough ok).

Theme : Motions
Concept : Artistic Movement in Dance

There's more but here are few of my favourite shots...

Surprise!

It started off with how much a certain guy meant to me that got me thinking that since his 18th birthday was coming up, what better than a surprise party? It didn't take me long to plan and have a clear idea on what I wanted to do and how I wanted to surprise him.

So basically, his friends & I teamed up and managed to make his 18th birthday a memorable one...

I chose Merdekarya because my plan A was supposed to be sort of like an open mic surprise but it failed due to certain reasons...but, thankfully I had a plan B which was renting the space downstairs for the grungiest BBQ ever...

His friends got him all sorts of things, including a box of cockroaches...

I'm glad he had a good time with his friends, not the fanciest surprise party but I managed to make someone tear so ;) it was a success!

The best cakes are made by Beatrice Leong
got her to make Sheng Wei's birthday cake, took forever to convince...

All in all, I love you and I'm glad you had a memorable 18th birthday
**oops, sorry for the photobooth spam

Secret Garden

A weekend ago, I had a photo shoot with Daniel Adams *screams* (only because I think his conceptual photography is pretty damn amazing). Daniel's conceptual photography is pretty deep. I'm not too sure how to explain it but his photos are usually dark and his captions are usually deep...

secret garden

lost in all that has been forgotten,
wandering & wondering,
she realised,
she was one amongst the forgotten.

I told Daniel that I wanted him to choose the concept & theme for the shoot and I'm not sure what it really is but I'm pretty satisfied with it. I somehow came up with a pretty long caption & short explanation behind the photos...

Basically, I guess sometimes in life...we get left behind, and in a blink of an eye...we've already been forgotten.

Sudden Realisation

For the past month, the amount of heartbreaking tragedies that has been ongoing brought me to a sudden realisation that life can have its sudden turning point that can lead to a tragic end and that you might not even get to see the last of your loved ones at that point of time.

Here I am, flipping through the local papers and honestly, I just can't help but feel completely heartbroken. MH370, the flight that mysteriously went missing has now been concluded by our PM that it 'ended' in the Indian Ocean...the 17 year old who was on a school trip, crushed to his death after the bus over turned...the mother and her two baby girls who died on the spot after their car collided with a truck and the list goes on. Every single day we lose one of our kind and everyday, someone out there mourns for their deceased loved ones.

Today, we mourn for all the souls out there whose lives were taken away way too soon, rest in peace & find the light. You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten. We also pray for the well being of all family & friends and we'd also like to express our deepest condolences.

Life can be so unpredictable sometimes, you'll never know when your time will be up.

Cherish your loved ones before it's too late...

From Gift to Gifts Charity Concert by SMK DJs Leo Club & the National Kidney Foundation

Last Sunday, SMK DJs Leo Club hosted a charity concert to help raise funds for the National Kidney Foundation. A friend of mine invited CONCEPT (so called dance crew) to perform for the charity concert & we gladly accepted ((CONCEPTs first gig (wowowowow))). The experience was amazing, it was such a fun performance honestly. And also, so glad that they managed to raise more than enough money for those who desperately need it.

The concert was a short but sweet one. Every single performer was amazingly talented in their own way and all of us were happy to perform for the good cause.

Check out our performance ;)
enjoy! x

That's Soloman (questioning if that really is his real name...), president of SMK DJs Leo Club and I personally think his performance alone would have been enough to raise money for the whole event because he's so sassy and to this day I still can't get over it (fan at first sight speaking here)
